It’s been over a year and a half since I bought the Sony α7 IV mirrorless camera. I think I’m finally getting used to handling it. The lens is a Tamron 35-150mm. Although this lens was a bit expensive, I feel its excellent performance with an aperture of f/2.0 to f/2.8 is great because I can shoot without worrying about the amount of light.

I wanna take a bunch of cherry 🌸blossom pics this year.
In April next month, the temperature will rise to about 15°C, and the cherry blossoms will begin to bloom.
Fortunately, Kyoto has many famous spots for cherry blossoms.
I’m excited to plan this year’s photos while reviewing last year’s shots.
Have you ever seen cherry blossoms in Japan?
I’d like to share some of my favorite spots with you

Cherry Blossoms in Gion
Every year, to start the new fiscal year on a good note, I drink sake with close colleagues from work while viewing the night cherry blossoms in Gion.
Even minor squabbles become insignificant when we look at the cherry blossoms.

A photo from Yasaka Shrine, located in a corner of Gion, which was bustling with many people, and traditional food stalls selling takoyaki, beef skewers, candy apples, and more were lined up.
Candy apples are a popular treat for everyone, from adults to children. Please be sure to give them a try.
Kiyamachi
It is the liveliest downtown area in Kyoto, and since it’s my hometown, I don’t often eat here, but it’s a place I come to take photos throughout the year.

I don’t think I’m taking good photos yet since I just started with the camera, but I am trying to be mindful of reflections when shooting. I think I could take better photos now.”

Many people are posing with cherry blossoms in the background, and there are also many people wearing kimonos. It’s highly recommended.
I plan to introduce recommended lunch spots and cafes in areas like Kiyamachi and Gion.
Arashiyama
This place used to be an underrated spot until recently, but it seems to have become quite famous now. While the autumn leaves attract a lot of tourists, the cherry blossoms also bloom beautifully.

The Togetsukyo Bridge is being photographed with a blurred effect. Since the sun rises from the east, Arashiyama, located to the west, tends to have a later cherry blossom blooming period within Kyoto city.
You can sit down and relax here.
his time, I introduced three cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyoto city, but there are still many other places, so I hope to share more information again.
